Mongrel is a Manila-based architecture and design studio founded by Ge Joson, an alumnus of Architectural Association London and the UP College of Architecture. We seek to produce experimental and progressive design solutions that would continually challenge our common notions of spaces and objects.

We strive to elevate the traditional & conventional by infusing new ways of form-finding, space-programming, & construction technique, thereby creating ‘hybrid’ outputs. These are continually tested and re-evaluated through collaborative work in different project scales, from simple products and installations, to complex structures and planning.

The studio capitalizes on the possibilities of movement in architecture to produce more dynamic spaces, from the static elements of building forms to detailed components in formation. The nature of our urban fabric is dynamic & diversely exciting and this is the same intensity that Mongrel hopes to capture.
