house 436

Set on a sloping site, the house unfolds through a series of corridors upfront leading to the main hall at the rear which opens up to a full height glass panels framing the lush greenery around the lot. Formed by the creation of three volumes of rest, active, and service, the whole composition blends together blurring these three programmatic distinctions. These volumes are linked through the connecting core that traverses the length of the lot. This core receives ample natural light that gives an airy ambiance within the interiors. Architectural fins that jot out from the volumes are strategically incorporated to lighten the visual heaviness of the massing, together with the dynamically sloped roofs, create a positive tension both visually and programatically.
