Bluprint Magazine Feature 2015

A seemingly massive house that defies its limitied lot area. It sits on a tight triangular lot that opens up to the corner streets. This helped to cocoon the private spaces on the inner angle and free up the public spaces to the bigger sides. The public realm pierces through three levels of private spaces which gives the owner points of “voyeurism” to all the other spaces.

The two main volumes play with the typical Filipino houses by inverting the usual heavy ground floor with the light upper floor. This gives the ground a seamless public space that bleeds through the landscape. The house innovates on integration by creating elements that serve as structural systems, sun shading devices and as privacy screens.
