S HOUSE

A rest house amidst a farily quiet neignborhood in Tagaytay, it stands out in its geometric simplic- ity. Two overlapping volumes that are booleaned from each other, it creates a light, airy, and simple composition. With a contrasting palette of black and white, the exterior semalessly bleeds in to the interior spaces. Once you enter the house, atten- tion will suddenly focus on the sinuous staircasethat rises up to the third floor. The railing detaches itself from the hard geometric angles of the structureby having continous, filetted edges that swoop fromthe ground to the upper levels. It seamlessly con- nects all the spaces physically, and more importantly, visually.
